From sensational news to clickbait YouTube videos, people are spreading fear. Anxiety seems to be on the rise, not just with world events, but with End Times events as well. That begs the question: Did we miss the rapture?

SPOILER ALERT: No, no we did not.

In this episode, our host takes us through scriptures to examine the signs and wonders, as well as where the rapture may fit in the timeline of the “end times.” This episodes combines eschatological teaching with the comfort and hope we have in Christ.

S4, Ep. 4: Details, God is ALWAYS There!

Every detail of the short trip was carefully planned: flights, car rental, route to the hotel, enjoying the time away, and then back. But that short layover in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport was concerning. Will they have time to make the flight connection? Will their luggage make it on time?

When worry showed up, our host decided to pray and trust that “God is in the details.” But what does it mean that God is in the details?

To explain this, our host shares an account of both what did and did not happen on that trip. He says, “Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, God is with you, and He is in the details. God takes care of you.”

Listen to this episode of Coffee With Jesus to know why our host can look back at the events as they transpired and know that God’s hand was taking care of him and his wife. In the same way, know that God is there when things go well, and He is there when things are not going well.

In life, we face storms; we may face depression. But take heart; God is your ever-present help in times of trouble. He will be your strength. In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, we talk about how God intervenes when we are facing depression.

Our host clarifies that just because someone is seeking help through a healthcare professional or taking medication to fight depression doesn’t mean God is not involved. Then, our host takes us to 1 Kings 19—a blunt account of the prophet Elijah overwhelmed by a deep depression.

What happens in that chapter is a clear example of how God helps us when facing depression. God didn’t rebuke Elijah. God listened to him, provided him comfort, sustenance, and rest, and then gave him a job. Listen to this episode to hear our host sharing how God helped him in a similar way.

Our host also shares an impactful testimony from a couple who went through a dire situation, one of them spending 42 days in the hospital (in and out of comas), and how they both experienced miraculous strength, healing, and the lifting power of God through the ordeal. Todd shares how God helped him recover from rock bottom when he was recently overwhelmed by life events.

Those events, threatened to cause a downward spiral in his emotional well-being. However, by trusting in God, he was not only able to overcome the negative emotions that had threated to overwhelm him, but he was also able to help others as well. Our host not only shares his struggles, but shares how we can use our struggles to help others.

This motto can apply to every day life in both a terrestrial and spiritual sense. As Christians we should be prepared for what we will be facing in the world.

This episode will not be your typical episode of Coffee With Jesus. Drawing inspiration from the prophet Habakkuk, our host will share how it is important to prepare for what may be coming, as well as how important it is to hold on to God’s promise to always be with us.

Listen to this episode and know that when calamity strikes, whether on a national/global level or on a more personal level, God will take care of you. God will be with you, provide for you and help you through the storm.

In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, guest hosts Elizabeth Bristol and Christine Hobbs discuss practical ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus. Starting in Part 1, they talk about the three “C”s: Cannon, Communication and Commitment. Starting with Scripture, a Christian can get to know all about Christ.

Next, in Part 2, they talk about the different ways you can here God. Starting with prayer, a Christian can get to know all about from our Father and our Savior. It is important to learn everything we can about who our Savior is.

Then, as in any relationship, it is important to talk to Him. Sometimes it may be as simple as “help me!” and sometimes it may be a more in depth conversation. Regardless of how many words we use, it is important to talk to Him. Equally important is listening. To quiet ourselves and hear what Christ has to say.

In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, Guest hosts, Rick Schuette and Don Dawson begin their examination of the beatitudes, focusing on righteousness. They starting out by discussing what Dietrich Bonhoeffer referred to as “cheap grace.” Then they move on to what constitutes righteousness or righteous behavior, our guest hosts discuss what it means to follow Jesus words from the sermon on the mount.

Part 2

“God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,[a]
for they will be satisfied.” (New Living Translation)

Some English translation render the Greek word dikaiosynēn (righteousness, justice) as “justice.” In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, Guest hosts, Rick Schuette and Don Dawson continue their examination of the beatitudes, focusing on justice. Rick starts by talking about the difference between righteousness and justice. Then he and Don talk about the importance of justice in the life of a Christian.
