With all the destruction caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we have pushed back our scheduled episode to re-share an experience one of our hosts had after he survived Hurricane Katrina.

Please join us as our host shares one of the darkest periods of his life. He shares how God helped him through the literal storm of Hurricane Katrina and both the emotional and spiritual storms that followed. As he goes into detail about his experience, he shares how God provided him with the strength and the comfort he needed to make it through those storms.

Anxiety, distress, and grief are emotions that we experience when going through the troubles and storms in this life. The Bible tells us that God is the source of our comfort. But how can we access that comfort?

Our hosts discuss 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. They also share different situations in their own lives about how a posture of surrender led them to that ever-flowing stream of comfort. Surrendering our cares, solutions, and even our expectations to God and choosing to trust Him with the outcome allow us to experience His comfort. And that comfort brings us rest, peace, and hope.
